MMO is a abbreviation.

An abbreviation for the initials of the site/server owner for starters.

There are of course other meanings which have nothing to do with this website, like massive multiplayer online [games] and maybe some others which I maybe even do not know.

That “to” behind the dot means nothing, it could be understood as a pointer like a swapped “to mmo”, but in the end that top level domain just was the best fitting one, expensive though.
